State of the art network concept

Mobile Engine’s People Are The Network (PATN) research and development project uses the help of mobile phones to create a self organising, mesh architecture IP based telecommunications network. A typical mesh network has the goal of allowing the nodes (which make up the network) to communicate with eachother and the users router hardware help to create the network itself. Within the bounds of the PATN R&D project technology is founded, which together with the use of the users mobile phone’s WIFI capabilties create a seperate MESH network, in which the users can share the resources available to them. These resources can be 3G broadband internet connection or a local WIFI hotspot providing broadband internet access.
